A couple of days ago Mom and I were in the kitchen making deep dish pizza, when suddenly Alyssa burst into the room crying. "Alyssa, what's wrong?" my Mom kept asking, clearly troubled that Alyssa was in distress. When we realized she was having a fit of anger, mom firmly told her that she must calm down, and try to be joyful. At this point, dinner was late, and Mom was already stressed out from all the other distractions. Amber, who never likes to be left out of a conversation piped up "See Mama, I'm happy...do you see my smiling face?!" Needless to say, that send us all into fits of giggles. It's funny how a small, innocent remark can leave such a big imprint on our minds and hearts.
