A couple of weeks ago my sister (with the greatest reluctance) agreed to do a photo shoot.

PBS Octet

The PBS Octet made their first official appearance at the Sarah Bush Hospital Mattoon. There, they performed works by Vivaldi, Mozart, and Handel a long with several classic hymns. We truly had a wonderful experience last week, thanks to our mentor and guide Mrs. Coulton. It was truly a wonderful way to use our talents for God.

Austin is now proud to annouce that he has his first warrior wound from dirt biking...a broken leg! Rest assured, he's doing quite well, and is taking up residence on our family room couch.

Mom needed Austin to hold Aric while she procured some pain reliever for him.

IMEA audition

Today, Mom took Adina and I to audition for IMEA orchestra. This year, we decided to be brave and audition for the Senior orchestra, which some of our other friends were particapating in. If you don't count the nerves, we really had a great time. After the audition we went with the Parishes to McDonalds and had lunch, that gave us time to talk about our experience, and the opportunity for McKenna and I to attempt to find enough stickers to win a prize! We didn't in the end...but oh well, we will next time.

Castles, Cathedrals, and Cellos

Today we had our annual "Castles and Cathedrals" concert, where a plethora of EIU's choirs get together and show their stuff. One of the primary choirs sang a piece entitled "The Wedding Cantata" which called for a small string ensemble (and this really sweet little piano thingy that my friend Sonny plays). Mom was only able to take two pictures of our little cello section, so you'll have to wait till our next performance of the Cantata next year.
